A hub of student activity at NDSU, the new Memorial Union was designed with extensive student, staff, and faculty input.
Renovation:
Highlights included a new steel frame canopy and entrance on the west side, a new, more spacious steel frame art gallery; as well as the addition of the “Bison Connection”, a one-stop service center.
Addition:
A main feature was a 10,000-square foot multi-purpose ballroom structure using composite steel frame and concrete on metal deck system supported by spread footing foundation. Also included was additional lounge and dining space; new meeting rooms; increase space for student organizations; and a new Food Court with a performance area.
