Newman Outdoor Field, home of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, is a 4,623-seat outdoor facility based on a precast and structural steel superstructure. The facility hosts many events from concerts to festivals to the 2009 American Legion World Series to North Dakota State University baseball and more.
In addition, under the stadium, are the dressing rooms and an indoor batting cage. Above home plate, between 12 spectator suites, is a two-tiered press box offering spacious radio and television booths. Measuring 26 feet wide and 13 feet high in left field is a LED video board showing highlights, in-game videos, instant replays, and a digital scoreboard.
As the facility grew and additional services where needed, Heyer Engineering assisted with the following:
- 2003 – Stadium renovation and canopies
- 2010 – ADA upgrades
- 2011 – Foundation for a beer garden
- 2012 – Dugout expansion
